One person was killed and another badly hurt in a car accident late Tuesday morning on I-75 in Henry County. According to police, the car accident happened shortly before 11:30 a.m. in the southbound travel lanes just south of Jodeco Road. Although Henry County police continue to investigate, authorities have already confirmed that two people were ejected in the single-vehicle crash. It is unknown at this time whether either occupant was wearing a seatbelt. While one occupant died at the scene, the other was life-flighted from the car accident scene directly to an area hospital. Due to the severity of the accident, two of the three southbound lanes were shutdown while police investigated.
