On June 21, 2013, James was honored at the Annual Meeting of the State Bar of Georgia in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina upon his completion of the 2013 Leadership Academy of the Young Lawyers Division of the State Bar. The YLD Leadership Academy was started in 2006 to bring young lawyers across the State of Georgia into contact with one another as well as various State Bar leaders including including legislators and judges.
